Jayanusa

Pada tanggal 28 Februari 2018, Kampus Jayanusa melaksanakan Seminar dan Workshop Nasional “Virtual Reality”. Kegiatan ini dimaksudkan untuk memberikan ilmu dan pengatehuan baru dibidang Multimedia bagi para Mahasiswa dan Dosen.

Kegiatan ini di mulai dengan Seminar tentang konsep Virtual Reality jam 09.00 – 12.00, di lanjutkan dengan Workshop Virtual Reality menggunalan software UNITY jam 13.00 – 17.00. Seminar di hadiri oleh ± 200 peserta dari Mahasiswa dan dosen Jayanusa, serta workshop diikuti oleh 30 Peserta.

Sebagai Pembicara dan Instruktur pada acara ini adalah Bapak M. Yudhi Rezaldi, M. Ds. Beliau adalah staf pada Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI) Divisi Multimedia. Selian itu beliau juga adalah mahasiswa S3 Universti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UTM).
Dalam pemaparannya, Bapak M. Yudhi Rezaldi mengatakan bahwa Teknologi virtual reality (VR) saat ini sedang berkembang pesat. Yang paling tampak saat ini adalah pemanfaatan virtual reality dalam industri game dan simulator di berbagai bidang. Pengertian virtual reality sendiri adalah teknologi yang memungkinkan seseorang melakukan simulasi terhadap suatu obyek nyata dengan menggunakan komputer yang mampu untuk membangkitkan suasana tiga dimensi (3D) sehingga membuat pemakai seolah-olah terlibat secara fisik.
Dalam virtual reality pemakai benar-benar merasakan ditempatkan pada ruang 360 derajat yang menipu indra kita dan memberitahukan bahwa hal tersebut nyata. apa yang dirasakan oleh pemakai sebenarnya adalah gaya listrik yang diterjemahkan oleh otak seolah-olah seperti dunia nyata.
